Morning Cereal

This morning we were eating breakfast (Morning Cereal) and I just could not resist the temptation of how cute they were (so polite) trying to share with one another, talking to each other. It was a true photo opportunity. What did we ever do with out digital photos? It seem like such a lifetime ago when everyone had to get every photo developed just to see if their pictures that they took were good, cute, captured the moment, etc......

This was taken a couple of days ago. Dalton actually pulled himself up and took a few steps with the walker. He gets stronger and more curious everyday.

As I was going through the photos I ran across this one and I had actually meant to post it earlier but forgot. I took a few pictures of the kids one day in black and white and this was the best one of all of them. As everyone know a moving target is hard to capture.

Comparing Whitney and Dalton

I decided to go through several of our pictures and compare a few things. These are the photos I decided to use.

Dalton's Allergy Appointment

Today was Dalton's allergy specialist appointment and I expected the worst everyone is always telling these horror story's about kids being taken to these specialist and being stuck with all of these needles and so naturally I was worried. My experience was a breeze compared to everything I had heard all they did was the usual weight and height check then waiting in a room till the Doctor comes in then talking with the Doctor then the nurse comes in and explains what she was going to do. This is all they do they take a marker and mark their back in several places then take a needle with the allergen on it and lightly scratch their back with the needle, there were seven allergy test and one control in the toddler panel that Dalton went through, the little man did not even flinch he actually keep trying to turn around to smile at the nurse. He did not even shed a tear. So, if anyone and their children have to go through any allergy test don't sweat it or stress over it just treat it like an extra check up and go on with the daily life. Dalton tested negative on all the test on the toddler allergy panel. We do not have to go back unless we notice more rashes and breakouts during specific activities or food introductions. We still do not know if he is allergic to flea bites like his Dad yet. But we will be finding out one way or another as soon as possible. So that was our Mother and Son day.

Horseback Riding

Horseback Riding today with Daddy with all 3 of them up on the horse they just stood their but upon Mike getting home today early and a surprise he found that Jedi had lost 3 shoes this week and as they were lightly walking around in the round pin we noticed that one of his hoofs was cracked so we made other fun things to do like leading Jedi around by the reins for the first time and after taking the bridle off she led her Daddy around it was to cute.

Baskets and Buckets

Baskets and Buckets!!! What is the fascination? One half dozen or the other someone always gets stuck then their are tears of frustration when trying to get out and then one breaks oh no then after getting Daddy's to help pull it off their bottoms any they still wanna help pick the garden with a broken bucket no shoes and only a pair of panties on so then there comes more tears of wanting to do what can't be done with out clothes on.

Update on Dalton

Dalton is doing wonderful he has been rash free for about 2 weeks now. He is crawling all over the place and pulling up on anything he can get a grip on. I have started pulling up his bed rail because he is now sitting up wonderfully and pulling up on his rail to stand to wait for me to come and get him. He has now started getting baby food in the mornings and has been getting baby food at night since he was 6 months old. He loves any kind of cookie he gets and will try to steal any kind of food you are eating. I have also moved him up to 3rd foods at bedtime (they have tiny noodles and fruits in them and he thinks that it is wonderful. We go to the allergy specialist on Monday and I will let everyone know what goes on with that.

Angie and David Hurst lost their dog Todd today after 8 years. He got out of the fence at their house and go to the main road and got hit. We are so sorry for your lost we know he was a beloved friend and many memories have been shared with him. We love yall lots and sorry for the loss.

Whitney's potty update and sleeping in her toddler bed.

Whitney has been doing great with the potty she still is having a couple of accidents a day but over all she has done wonderful. I think the accidents are due to the fact that we have been going and doing a lot here lately and she just gets use to using her pull ups and the other is where she just gets to busy and forgets. We even have 2 routine potty songs we sing now one she even joins in on and sings and dances to (I got potty candy, I got potty candy, I got potty candy yeah yeah yeah) its so cute I wish every one could see it. (she gets an M&M for each hand) Now for the toddler bed since she had started to try to climb over the rail and only succeeding once and falling and hurting herself while I was still in her room. Mike and I decided on Sunday to take the front rail done and convert her in to her toddler portion of her bed. Yet, Mike and I were not OK with no railing so we borrowed a bed rail made for children and put it up now she can still push it out of the way and get up and down when she wants but she can not fall out when she is sleeping. I will try to get some pictures in the next few days for every one to see.

Today's Egg Pick

In just now at 4:42 pm Whitney and I went to pick up today's egg pick and we found four (starting on the Left) One of our reds brown eggs, next Sally's egg our small chicken she lays white, next is one of our Easter chicken eggs it GREEN, and last but not least our biggest egg from one of our red it is also a brown egg.

Dirty Whitney

Tonight Dalton had gone to bed a little early so Mike and I took Whitney outside to feed the horses and Chickens while I was watering the Ducks Mike was watering the horses and she was attempting to help him so Mike sprayed her with the water hose and the next thing we knew was that she was picking up the dirt and playing with it and that was OK but one thing led to another and another. I didn't have my camera with me at the moment she was throwing dirt all over her and her hair and anything on her body she could think of to get dirty but I did make her stay outside with her Daddy long enough to get a few pictures and go up to De and Ranny's house to get George. George had stayed the night because I went to surprise Michael with a visit. They immediately ask her what she had been doing and she of course nonchalantly did not answer and wanted to swing "wing" with Ranny. Then came back home stripped down got a bath woke her brother up and then they both went back to bed and are sleeping soundly as we speak.

Dalton strikes again

Dalton strikes again, he heads of down the hallway and I didn't follow immediately because I figure he was just going to Whitney's room to play but then I heard some banging so I went to check it out and this is what I found him doing banging on the bathtub. They both played in the bathroom on the tub for about 3o min or so. This was yesterday and today he grabbed hold of the couch and pulled up all by himself so I guess it want be to much longer before he takes is first step. I do not remember her pulling up and being so strong so soon .

The trip to the Birmingham Zoo with Grammy

We all had a wonderful time a the zoo thank you so very much Grammy for taking all of us.
