Whitney's Potty Update

Today Whitney did exceptionally well this morning no accident then we went to town to pick up Dalton's medicine and a few other errands and she had on a pull up she stayed dry until sometime on the way home then went potty as soon as we got home and then I put her down for nap which took her like and hour and a half to go down no fuss though she just plays in her bed till she goes to sleep. And when she woke and hour and a half later she was soaking wet thus went straight to potty and went like a champ and went a couple of more times after that but right before bed (8:30 at my house) had two accidents on her running way to the potty she was playing really hard with a new little tiny laundry basket I got for their rooms. Then she was almost a sleep so I went out to check and make sure all of the chicken's were in their building and when I got back in she was yelling at me telling me she had to go potty so I went and got her and I am sure glad I did cause she had to poop. Cleaned and Calmed her back down and put her back to bed and is sleeping like a champ.

New Rash Update for Dalton

Giving Dalton a small amount of benadryl and lotions daily and then adding in new prescription (Verdeso) it all seems to be clearing up more quickly than normal. He goes to a Pediatric Specialist for Allergies and Immunization at UAB Children's South on July 26th (Dr. Mary Railey) so when we get the results I will let everyone know ASAP. I would enclose a picture but it does not show up well on the camera. The Rash this time is mainly on his forehead and a little bit on his back and is still dealing with the dry patches on his thighs from the last rash.

Dalton's Rashes

Dalton has had 8 or 9 rashes since he was born and today I took him to our pediatrician Dr. Ray and finally got him to see that he was allergic to something (maybe flea bite like Mike) but he was unsure of actually what caused the rash. Now I have been several times before and he just made me feel kind like he was blowing it off as nothing more that topical dermatitis. Finally this child of mine is getting to go see and allergy specialist, don't know when yet but I will keep you all posted on when we are going and what the results are.

Dalton's Crawling Update

Dalton started crawling about 2 weeks ago but before that he was rolling from place to place he is now crawling from the living room down the hall to Whitney's room (where all of the extra toys are) and from the living room through the kitchen and to my bedroom door. He will push up on all fours then collapse down and move his little legs and just one arm I think its the left arm and he has also started trying to crawl flat on his back schooching his legs and back only a few feet at a time. He has also started rolling on his side and propping up on one arm so the sitting up on his own is soon to come.

Whitney's Potty Update

Whitney has been doing wonderful on the potty she has even got the hang of going stinky on the potty I am just so proud of her. I started teaching her all about the potty when she was about 16 months old and last Sunday when she was telling me that she was wet I said that was time to start and she has come so far in just a week. This afternoon after nap we were invited over to Harold and Mary's House to swim and eat with a bunch of folks and she went 3 times in a Farrand house and potty room I was so proud of her then came home and about 7:30pm and went potty 3 more times and even made a second stinky for the day. Then went to bed and is still up I guess talking and playing with her toys.

Whitney and Dalton eating an Ice Pop

One of Whitney's favorite things to eat when she is teething in an ice pop and hear lately Dalton has been grabbing and crawling towards her when she has one but the other day I decided to grab the camera and take a few short videos. I do believe that this is one of the most successful attempts on Dalton's part. There was another video but it would not upload. I have been trying to upload these videos since I took them. Whitney was very in the Camera and just had to sit beside or in my lap so I am sorry in advance for all of the shaking. Luckily I had just vacuumed the floor earlier that morning or I would not have let him eat it. I do not need any Farrand substances going in his mouth especially with the rash thing already going on.

Dalton and Whitney Playing

Playing at the front door is one of Whitney's favorite things to do and always has been since she could crawl so just in the past couple of days Dalton has been making his way there also. As you can tell Dalton was not a very happy camper after his discussion with his sister, I could not even make it out but what ever she said to him it made him really mad and he was still pouting in the last photo.

It's Potty Time!!!

OK for those of you who don't know the story I have been playing the potty game with Whitney on and off since mid March she went a couple of time but no real big deal I was just getting her ready you know walking her though the stages so that when she was ready she would know what to do. So, on Sunday she had been looking at me or Mike all day and would say "Wet" and then go running in to her room and then say "diaper" so I got fed up and said OK you can tell me your wet and you need a diaper you can use the potty so I took her to the potty and she went and of course got "prizes" stickers and smiles (gummies) (started training Sunday Night). But that did not seem to work to well on day Wednesday so I had a chocolate bar in the candy jar just waiting for me to have a chocolate craving one day and I said to myself maybe just maybe this would work so the next time I took her potty and she went I hand her a piece of chocolate and it has been a success every since I have even gotten a stinky or two out of her and I will not tell you a lie we have still had some accident but now where near as many as we were having. I am using panties like training pants (cloth) during the day and pull up (pamper) at nap and bedtime. This seems to be going great. I keep you posted on how things go with in the next few weeks.

For those of you who know how Mike potty trained yes I used this method for a couple of times and she got the hang of it I think it has something to do with the focal point (all most like not focusing on getting off but playing with the stickers and flushing the toilet time and time again some how made her focus on what she was supposed to be doing) and just about every time now I put her forward facing and so her some M&M's and she goes like a champ. I am so very proud of her, Hang in there Ladies it just takes Patience and Perseverance.

And Were Off!!

For those of you who don't know Dalton is crawling now and he is just a mover and a shaker today he made it all of the way down the hall several times, he just can be left out of the fun.
Also we got a new dog its a black pug (sorry for the rear shot it was just a cute picture of how good he is with the kids)

Whitney moving the hangers all by herself!

One day I was doing laundry and she decided to pick up all of the hangers I had and take them to the bath tub then after her Dad came home she went to the bathroom and decide to show him what she had done and she was just so proud of herself.

Whitney has hair issues.

Either she will let you put it up one minute or she will fight you tooth and nail about getting it up or she want let up put it up at all and these are just a few shots of her hair being up of at least a few minutes. (she has been this ways since she was born)

I thought the saying was like Father like Son but I guess in our case its like Father like Daughter!!!

Just a few cute photos of Mike and Whitney one Saturday afternoon eating chips and wearing overalls.
